Mumbai, Sep 19 (IANS): Bohra Bros and Sunil Jain are planning to release director Ram Ramesh Sharma's award winning film “Kaafiron Ki Namaaz” next year.
Produced by Bhargav Saikia in collaboration with Abhishek Vyas and Sanjeev Singh Pal, the film won four awards at the third Ladakh International Film Festival, including one for the best feature film.
“It's a great film and we are looking for a 2015 release. Trailers would be out soon,” Alok Arbind Thakur, associate producer of the film, said in a statement.
A known film in the film festival circuit, “Kaafiron Ki Namaaz” has travelled to fests such as International Film Festival, 2014, South Korea, Asia Pacific Screen Awards, 2014, Australia, International Film Festival Colombo and Bollywood Festival Norway.
Talking about the film's storyline, Sharma said that confessions don't need priests, they need an occasion and some motivation and his film focuses on the same.
”I have always been fascinated with conversations between strangers. I think they are colourful, more colourful than a rainbow. Sometimes intimate, densely intimate. Sometime aloof, bizarrely aloof,” he said.
“When conversations are without words, they look like literature too. But when diluted with ego, they become acidic… I wanted to explore all these behavioural etiquettes, which a human being undergoes while meeting a stranger,” added Sharma.
