Sullia, Sep 27: The stay order imposed on the formation of managing committee of Kukke Subrahmanya Temple has finally been vacated.  With this the managing committee can now assume power and start day-to-day functioning.

The new managing committee of the Kukke Subrahmanya Temple was formed only a month ago.  But in a sudden move, one Sanjeev Gowda of Puttur had questioned the very formation of the committee in the court.  He had stated that the appointments to the committee were done on political influence and that the genuine candidates had been kept out of the committee.

After hearing this petition, the court had stayed the formation of the committee.  But on Tuesday it reverted and vacated the stay order.  The court has allowed the committee to look after the daily affairs of the temple.  However, it has stated that the committee should seek permission from the endowment commissioner for major financial transactions.
