Kundapur, Sep 14: In a heart-warming gesture that is worth emulating, Green Valley National School and PU College, Shiroor has provided employment to Raju Kottari, brother of Ratna Kottary, who was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a forest area at Alandoor near Byndoor on July 12 this year, three days after she went missing.

The Institution also provided financial help to the family by handing over a cheque of Rs 50,000.

Previously Raju was working in a bakery in Bangalore, but he has been unemployed ever since the death of his sister. As the family has been facing financial difficulties, Green Valley National School has stepped in to help them.

GVNS chairman and trustee Syed Abdul Khader along with the students visited Ratna's house in Konamakki, Yadthare village on Saturday September 13 and extended financial assistance in the form of cheque, which would help in the reconstruction of their house. Ratna's mother Saku Kottary received the cheque and profuself thanked Syed Abdul Khader for the kind gesture.

Also, an appointment letter was handed over to Raju to work in Green Valley National School. The chairman of the school asked Raju to join work from Monday September 15.

Ratna's father Shankar Kottary, gram panchayat member Uday Makod, student council presidents Rukhnuddin Hussain and Jasmin Momin and others were present.

I commend the good deed by the GVNS & PU college, Shiroor through it's Chairman\Trustee to help out Late Ratna Kottary's kin with financial help and a job at the GVNS for her brother who was out of job.
This kind of help extended during their difficult times will go a long way in keeping their family intact and lessen their burden from grief and monetary constraints.

Just a couple or more days ago I stated in my comment in the article about that Slovakian model that Charity has no religion. Human beings give from the goodness of their heart and right here we have another example.

Wonderful to see Muslims reaching out to help Hindus.

Very, very heart warming to see that Charity cuts across all religious barriers.

This is the India I knew and this is the India I want to be in.
