Sullia, Sep 23: A six-year-old boy from Odabai near here who had gone for bath in River Payaswini drowned on Friday September 22.
Shafi (6), son of Odabai Hussain had gone for bath along with his 3 brothers to the River Payaswini on Friday. The river is just beside their house. All the children were playing on a wooden log when Shafi slipped and fell in the deep water and was washed out.
All the efforts to rescue went in vain. He was not traced even late in the night. His father is already admitted in the hospital after falling sick.
The Sullia police have registered a case in this regard.
