Dubai, Sep 10: Godwin D'Souza, a dynamic speaker and talented singer residing in Sharjah, has been elected president of Bellevision UAE. He was elected during the 9th general body meeting of Bellevision UAE held recently at Winney’s Restaurant in Karama, Dubai.
The meeting was attended by founder members, ex-presidents and about 40 members of the association. It was heartening to see a good number of youngsters who recently landed in the UAE attending the meeting.
Valerian Alva welcomed the gathering and highlighted the motto of Bellevision and some of the achievements of Bellevision UAE in the past 14 years.
Outgoing secretary Anita D’Souza read out the report for the term 2012-2014 and outgoing treasurer Anil D’Almeida presented the accounts.
Outgoing president Renita D’Souza in her parting speech thanked all the committee members for supporting her during her term in various projects and activities.
All the members actively participated in the evaluation carried out during the meeting. Former president Wilfred Menezes highlighted the work done by the previous committee members and congratulated them on their achievements.
After the evaluation, election for the new committee was carried held. Valerian Alva carried out the elections efficiently.
Godwin D'Souza was elected with a majority votes among three candidates for the president's position.
Godwin has been an active member of Belleviion UAE for several years. He is a dynamic speaker and a talented singer. He is currently working in Pentair Middle East and residing in Sharjah with his wife Anita D'Souza and children Carrol, Claren and Chloe.
