Karwar, Sep 7: The police have issued notice to Raghaveshwara swamiji of Ramachandrapura Math to appear for inquiry before Wednesday September 10, in connection to the sexual harassment case filed against him.

It is gathered that the investigation team led by Girinagar ASP P Suresh and inspector Lakshmegowda visited Honnavar to issue the notice as the swamiji never turned up for inquiry on the alleged sexual harassment case.

Earlier a case was filed by Amshumathi Shastri, for allegedly sexually harassing her mother.

The team of police comprising 11 members during the late hours of Friday September 5 visited Raghothama Math, Honnavar. Tension brewed at the Math for sometime as the Math officials opposed the arrival of the police when disciples and the pontiff were observing Chaturmasa Vruta.

The disciples, it is said, resisted the police from meeting the accused pontiff, due to which the police issued a notice without detaining him.

Meanwhile, the government has ordered a CID probe to investigate the blackmail case filed by the Math administration and the alleged sexual harassment case. The order was pronounced on Saturday September 6.

As someone who firmly believes that the respected Seer is completely innocent, I fail to comprehend as to why his followers and so-called devotees harassing, threatening and criminally intimidating people in the community, specifically in South Kanara!

Strangely, while the Shastry’s were swiftly jailed within hours, and one of them was driven to death with a mobile call records and a suicide note clearing mentioning certain powerful persons of gravely threatening him, the Bangalore cops along with the investigating officer of the case, had to literally beg the battery of high profile advocates defending the Pontiff just to serve a court notice, forget about questioning or arrest!

It is clear that a section of the so-called followers of the Swamiji are hell-bent on spoiling the good reputation of the Seer by carelessly threatening the public, intimidation and derailing the investigation. Sadly, the whole controversy is now turning out to be a shadow boxing bout between the Cong-I and BJP.

It looks like moreorless efforts of some unseen hands is repeatdely made to defame the Seers image. Seer will be in the Kekkar Math till end of Chaturmasya & the vrith breaks up with the Seemolangana (crossing river/village boundary). Naturally as per vrith he cannot live the Math premises, & why some wested interested channels like Public TV is hectically pressurising for arrest ? Seer is a noted person & he has assured for enquiry after the Chatrumasya vrith which will end in 2-3 days from now.

Your assertion may apply to your community(by chritians) only.We Hindus do not have much aquaintance with Swamiji during birth or death to go to burial/cremation ground.The term Swami as GURU in Hinduism is of utmost importance for us in the path of devotion.For us to reach GOD directly is not posisible or difficult without the rightous path shown by Guru.It is Hindu belief that Guru is super to even God and reaching God requires Gurus blessings.Our scriptures say therefore,GURU BRHAMA GURU VISHNU GURU DEVO MAHESHWARAHA,GURU SAAKSHAATH PARABRAHMA THASMAI SREE GURUVE NAMAHA..The above verse is a testimany of our belief and thefore for us Guru is the utmost.We Hindus see Guru in Matadhipathis,swamjies,Church Priests,true Mullahs,Jain swamijies and also religious Gurus.All are of utmost importance for us.Therefor it is better not to talk ill about Gurus before the actual truth is revealed.

Please don't generalise the issue. Do you think people are fools to just follow him ? If you have doubt please check the details with people around UK & Shimoga district. In your 'Hi-Bangaluru,' almost all time he speaks ill about others, as if its editor is a clean man. Later when, his karnamas where published by paper called 'Duniya', people came to know him. Here from all cast, people accumulated in thousands just in hour when news spread of possible arrest. The Kekkar math is located in a very remote area, surrounded by greenary. Reaction by his followers in minutes itself shows the faith/image which people have in him.

On the other side, also the history of the person making allegation needs to be considered. That guy was one of a prime responsible person for drowning of a reputed Leather Garment industry called 'Namaste' around a decade back. Most of people know that he is in a state financial debt now after his Delhi venture failed, & perhaps this is the reason he had entered in to the blackmail episode, with help of some unseen hands.

Seer is in his Chaturmasya Vrith now which will end on 9 Sep, & anyway he cannot go outside the math premises as per tradition. Best is a clearcut COD/CBI enquiry checking each & every records, phone calls, etc...& let us not strait away pass comments against the Seer, considering ourselves to be Judge.

Everyone knows that the Muth has been a fountainhead of politics and fight among two factions for decades.

Diwakar Shastry had served as the most trusted confidant of the Seer for many years and was also the working president of the financially very powerful math administrative committee for three years while his wife and Singer Premalatha was given special preference during all the Ramakatha programmes. If things suddenly turned sour, there has to be some crimes and extraordinary developments that only a CID or CBI probe can reveal, provided the evidences are not destroyed and hushed-up.
The latest news that a CID probe already initiated by the Govt is being actively scuttled is intriguing! Who is innocent and who is guilty?

Also why are so many BJP leaders already claiming that one of the parties is completely innocent, even before the CID starts a independent investigation?

I think with the 'UdoItell' machine used on Maithreya some days back, everything will be easy.Some saints, Gurus , Babaas, Bapu's, Priests, Father's etc, etc, will have to be very careful.
All 'Dip and Run' cases accused will be caught.
Regular 'jumpers over walls' (Dhoro Udthale-we call in Konkani)
apart from wearing rubber shoes and all that will have to be doubly cautious. Now the 'Dangler Problem' indeed has to indeed go through a double edged sword
test' and is not likely to pass unscathed.

As far as I know, they where in a great debt running in Crores, after a failure in industrial business just some time back in Delhi. May be they where hectically in need of funds, or have been acting on behalf of some unseen persons ? Also, note the Ramakatha artists first complained with Police about threatning call which they had been receiving over a month, & these people where arrest after a week, & the very next day after arrest the couple's daughter filed a counter case. So haresament allegation is a counter case !

Anyway now COD will work based on fact & figures, call records, history of all these people, etc. & of course not on Trumphet blow by some media like PublicTV who pose themselves as a Judge. We expect a clearcut/unbaise enquiry by COD.

Dear Mohandas K. & Harish Bhat...I don't want to tarnish image of swami or hurt your feelings...I have read so many stories about relgious gurus having sex..People are scared to talk..and ignore..For your example,one of my facebook friends,well educated,married catholic lady once asked my tips to overcome her mental agony..When asked,she gave me shocking news..She said,one of the Catholic Priests from DK dist repeatedly demanding sexual favour from her..That Priest has good name among people and infulential person too..I told her,madam you file a police complaint or report the matter to Daiji editor or Udayavani editor..She said " I can't do "..may be she was blackmailed..This is 4 years old story...Like this many well known,Swamijis,Bishops,Mullahs take advantage of their position and do bad things..My close relative is a devotee of Sai Baba.24 hours,talk about Sai Baba only..But,I read very detailed report abot Sai Baba's karma Kanda in Hi Bangalore..I am still aruging with her...She doesnt accept me..

My point is very clear..Worship GOD and NOT Swamis/Priest/Mullahs..

Regarding some woman's allegations against a priest of DK district in Facebook,,, generally speaking dont believe anything anybody says in FB unless otherwise proved...

Most of the Priests,Swamis,Mullas of undivided DK are of good charecter....as far as I know...there could be some black sheeps here and there...they should be identified and elimnated so rest are not looked down.

Now this woman claiming priest was demanding sex could be in a adulterous relationship with somebody and this priest advised her to stop that's why she is angry and want to take revenge on Priest???

If she is clean ,I am sure she should atleast meet the Bishop and tell him about this so if after proper investigations if found true Priest is out of Church...

There is lot of slander going on in FB against everybody....

Most of news reported are far from true. It was observed by surrounding people at large that on September5, CCB Police had arrived in Keekar Math, & naturally people over there resisted them from meeting as it was day of Eekadashi, as that day Swamiji will be Eekantha. People naturally over the area accumalated in thousand fearing the arrest of Swamiji, & people indiscriminative of castes follow him in UK district, as Swamiji is known for his social welfare programmes. Swamiji is in Chatrumasya Vrith till Sep9, & so is not supposed go out of Math, & why some wested interest people are trying hectically to defame his name ? Of Course, Police served the notice for enquiry around 3am of Sep6, but the way in which the State Government handled the issue has invited wrath from public & local Politicians (also MLA's) who have protested on venue. What was the need for having Police force in such a large stength, if the notice was to be issued was the reason for fear.
Now, the High Court has directed the State goverment for COD enquiry, & so CCB has retreated to facilitate COD enquiry. Media too is giving hype in the issue, & we hope COD will bring the culprits behind such false allegation to justice. Sathyameva Jayathe. Jai Hind...
