Marseille's Ayew to face Ligue 1 disciplinary committee

Paris, Sep 5 (IANS): Ghana international Andre Ayew, who plays for French football club Marseille, will appear before the French Ligue 1 Disciplinary Committee in three weeks to answer charges of indecent behaviour on the field.

The 25-year-old, son of former Africa's Player of the Year Abedi Pele Ayew, appeared to have kicked Dario Cvitanich in his sensitive area during Marseille's 4-0 victory over Nice Aug 29, reports Xinhua.

He could be banned from playing if found guilty.

The Marseille midfield ace failed to secure a move to English Premier League's Queens Park Rangers on the transfer deadline day.
