Police commissioner, R Hitendra, visited the spot, gave a patient hearing to the complaints of the people, and assured that patrolling will be intensified in Ullal at night, strict action will be taken against those who disturb peace, and anyone found loitering without purpose will be arrested.
A number of citizens at the spot complained that incidents of this kind have been occurring in Ullal quite frequently since sometime, as the law enforcement agencies have failed to contain anti-social elements. They also said that in a number of minor cases, affected people do not come forward to register complaints, as they feel that this exercise will be futile.
