On Facebook, politician's son calls RSS activist's killing 'good news'

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 3 (NDTV): In a Facebook post, the son of a Kerala CPM leader described the killing of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker E Manoj this week as 'good news'. Jain Raj, who lives in the Gulf, has since deleted his post, allegedly after threats, but its screenshot has gone viral.

E Manoj

Jain, the son of CPM's P Jayarajan, posted in Malayalam, "I have been waiting to hear this good news for a long time. Salutations, dear comrades. Feeling excited." The post, put up at around 2:30 pm on Tuesday, quickly received over 1,000 'likes'.

In more posts, Jain justified his comments, saying his father had been attacked 14 years ago by a group of men including Manoj.

The state BJP has sharply criticized the post.

"A person who wrote a Facebook post on a murder should be booked. It shows that he could have a role in the murder plan. It is abominable to congratulate killers," state BJP president V Muraleedharan has been quoted as saying.

The RSS is the ideological mentor of the BJP, which swept the national election in May.

Manoj was hacked to death on Monday in Kannur district. Bombs were thrown at his van before a group of people attacked him with swords, the police said. A murder case has been registered against six people, all allegedly affiliated to the CPM, the police said. The killing took place as BJP President Amit shah visited Kerala.

The activist's murder has intensified the bitter feud between the RSS and CPM in the state.

The CPM yesterday accused RSS activists of attacking its Pune office and damaging furniture to 'avenge' the killing.

While outright condemning the posts of the person concerned, this Facebook has become a nuisance of sorts creating unwanted issues for varied reasons, which take the precious time of authorities!! Since it is a world wide web, is it possible to control it in the first place? Imagine if some person holed up in a foreign country makes some irrational comments, how do you take action against him? Or a child or youngster in his 'innocence' just makes some unjust comments?? Better to avoid these social networking sites!!!

He is a attempt murderer of CPM leader Jayaraj. How come a RSS activist, protectors of hindus and religion trying to kill other person who belongs to the same community. So there is no problem with Hindus and muslims in India. Only the problem between RSS & Non RSS people. RSS should not think that they can defeat their opponents by killing. They will get the reply in this way. If anybody killed or tried kill others, they have no right to be alive in this world. Live peacefully and allow others also to live.

just blindly dint blame any party. As per youye above comments. we have to blame BJP, bcz some of the party members celebrated the death of well-know Kannada writer. In this case we tell that was the BJP real face?

There may be a reason why that person has commented on face book. as per his comments Late Manoj was accused of his dads death.

If you/me would have been in his place of course we would have not commented in FB, but sure we would have felt some happiness.

what would be your sincere thoughts on this?

Its a shame that CPI-M and RSS cadres are engaged in freely killing each other from so many years. Its time that the Central Govt. takes action against these two groups and brings an end to all these political killings.

Very bad development ...celebrating death is indeed unfortunate be it UR Murthy's death or RSS activist's.No religion propagates/endorses the sadist mentality of some misguided individuals.Coming to Kerala political killings,it should be stopped and in this effect why major political parties sits around the table? We are sick of such chain of murders in Kerala.

What do you have to say regarding the butchering and rape of girls and women during 2008 Kandhmal genocide in Orissa.

Also, what do you have to say regarding the involvement of bjp and RSS leaders & activists during anti-sikh riots in 1984. (You may check these facts online).

@ jaimini - if you are pointing fingers at cpims then please point your finger at rss for murdering Gandhi and for fueling riots right from '84 anti-sikh riots, Bombay riots, Kandhmal- Orissa Genocide, Babri, Mangalore riots, U.P riots and Gujarat Riots.

In all these riots led by RSS thousands of innocent men, women and even babies have been mercilessly killed by RSS.

So, when you point one finger at other, your remaining 4 fingers point back at you.
