Gold Coast (Australia), Sep 3 (IANS): Australia recorded an eight-wicket victory Wednesday to clinch the four-match women's Twenty20 International series 3-0 over Pakistan at the Kerrydale Oval here.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, Pakistan put on 84/9 from their 20 overs which the home side chased down in 11.4 overs, finishing 87/2. Elyse Villani was named player of the match for her knock of 50 and her two run outs.

Marina Iqbal (11) and Nain Abidi (30 not out) were the only batters to reach double figures for Pakistan while medium pacer Delissa Kimmince picked up career-best bowling figures of 2/17. Kristen Beams made her T20I debut and picked up a tidy 1/13 from three overs.

Villani continued her good form with the bat this series to get her side off to a solid start in their chase. She and Meg Lanning (24 not out) put on a 68-run partnership before Villani was bowled by Maham Tariq (1/11).

The fourth and the final match will be played here Friday.
