President Mugabe hails Zimbabwe's historic ODI win


Harare, Sep 1 (IANS): Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe has hailed the national cricket team for its historic three-wicket win over Australia in an ODI in the ongoing triangular series here Sunday.

The Fox Sports reported that Mugabe, who is also the patron of Zimbabwe Cricket, was "very very happy" with the team's first win over Australia in 31 years.

Zimbabwe staged a huge upset, beating Australia by three wickets in their One-Day International clash at Harare Sports Club

Zimbabwe and South Africa will play the final group match Thursday ahead of Saturday’s final.
