Mumbai, Sep 1: The Head of the Pejawar Mutt, Karnataka, Sri Vishvesha Tirtha Swamiji inagurated new office of Kannada kalavidara parishat Maharastra branch at Star Regency Bhayandar (E) recently.
Sri Vishvesha Tirtha Swamiji was welcomed by president of Kondu parishad Surendra Kumar Hegde. Swamiji inagurated the new office by cutting the ribbon and lit the traditional lamp.
Addressing the gathering, Swamiji said, "It is proud to see that kalavidara parishat is completing ten years and has grown in various areas like dance, singing, skits, yakshagana, movie, TV shows, bajane etc. Kannada kalavidara parishat has become a role model to country in keeping the unity of artist."
Vice-president advocate Subash B Shetty, treasurer P B Chandrahas, B S Kurkal, Polya Lakshminarayana Shetty, K K Shetty, J T Acharya, Chandravati Devadiga, Ashok Sasihitlu, Padmanaba Sasihitlu, Ganesh Shetty and others were present.
Secretary Karnoor Mohan Rai compered the programme. Ramesh Shivapura delivered the vote of the thanks.
