Los Angeles, Aug 26 (IANS): Veteran actor-singer Jack Wagner says a "spiritual awakening" inspired him to return to music after a nine-year gap.
The former Melrose Place star, who scored his first US chart hit with “All I Need” in 1984, says he never expected to return to the recording studio following the 2005 released album “Dancing in the Moonlight”, but he was taken by surprise in 2013 when he found himself bursting with creativity.
"I never expected to want to write music again, want to record again, it's been years and years for me, so to have what I call a light go off, a spiritual awakening, back in August, 2013, I would literally sit in my room there and bang out eight new songs.
"For me, it was unexpected and a real, great journey so far (sic),” contactmusic.com quoted the 54-year-old as saying.
Wagner released his comeback album “On The Porch” earlier this year.
