Mainly in GCC all are trying to travel on Thursday evening & return on Friday/Saturday evening. Now its our wish to choose AIE or JET Airways. AIE mainly famous for delays, Poor hospitality, Scare to land, Conjusted interior.

People who want something should be satisfied with things given whatever it is.

The least facilities we get in India for the population of 1.30 Billion is satisfactory, however, it lacks many things.

We have to blame our politicians first and last, who have spoiled our resources, sold India wholesale for the personal benefits, knowing full well they wont be caught.

Whom to blame, look at China which has 10 times better infrastructure than India and has 1.35 Billion population, which came up just after Chairman Mao's death. It is only with restricted, disciplined and ruthless government who control everyone.

Can that be done in India. It is even train stations in China are far better than the best airports in Delhi and Mumbai which are new, and now catching dust at the ceilings, without proper maintenance.

For Kuwait flight, people have grievance because of timing, it is, only because the persons want to save a day of leave be it a Friday or saturday.

Dont be selfish in everything, this is India.

Be content and be happy that will make your life cheerfull and healthy.

Then why dont you settle yourself in a country like China where it is all programmed to be perfect. Even your mind and behaviour.
Otherwise change the political setup, or change Indians their mind set, which is impossible because we are all corrupt left and right, including yourself and me.

Alex, This is the problem of our country.
Ask them to provide good education system – Ministry provides lunch, bicycles etc.… etc.…
Ask them to extend the runway – Ministry provides new terminal
Ask them to control the retail prices – Ministry provides 2Rs rice for poor and trench the middle class
Ask them to allow foreign airlines for direct routes – Ministry restricts to only local airlines
And finally they complain the seekers for not using their facility….
These solutions are not to solve your problems. These are tricky solutions to keep us quiet.

mr manohar ananda, preaching is easy.india and china with 130 crores population are potential global economic powers and future world leaders.usa inspite of its huge natural resources and land mass, if it had 130 crore population instead of 30 crore, it would have fizzled out decades before.indias output is more ,but it is being spent in feeding a mamooth 130 crore population and giving them required infrastructre.no nations in the world come even close to 130 crore poulation of india and china.the third highest population is brazil with 20 crore.even countries with minimum population like greece,uk,australia are struggling.
so better verify the ground facts before commenting that too on our own nation which has mades us.

Many of our friends are addressing here NRIs various requirements at Mlore/Bajpe airport.

We Karnataka NRIs in Kuwait usually welcome our Ministers, MLAs, MLCs and other dignitaries, we contribute millions of rupees to Indian Economy, but in many cases, it is true that NRIs are not getting proper facilities they deserve. After October 27, i.e. after the restoration of KUWAIT-MANGALORE flights, may we unitedly address our VOICE of Kuwait NRIs, our various issues & demands to the appropriate government authorities and dignitaries at appropriate timings through right channels! It is true that some of our common demands can be as follows:

    1. Review the air ticket fares
    2. Permission can please be given to KUWAIT – MANGALORE sector and other GCC sectors to operate budget airlines like Fly Dubai and Air Arabia.
    3. Cancellation of airport users fees in Mangalore.
    4. KSRTC can please reinstate their Volvo bus services from Mangalore airport to Manipal and return.
    5. Increase the runway length
    6. A memorial for the Bajpe air crash victims with their details and immediate distribution of compensation to their next-of-kin.
    7. Cordial treatment from the in-flight and ground staff of Air India Express.
    8. CET cells for our children can please be opened in Kuwait and all other gulf countries so that our students can write CET examinations to get admissions in Karnataka State colleges and colleges in other Indian states.
    9. Reconstitute the non-resident Kannadiga welfare forum for the benefit of Kannadigas ( applying only for residents of Karnataka).
    10. Full-fledged services at existing Mangalore passport office

Let us join our hands together in our efforts.

i go to buisness tours to denver, usa.
sometimes i get via london ticket.and sometimes bangalore-hongkong-chicago-denver
i need tell you the travel time from india to usa coupled with waiting time in airport terminals.it takes more than a day.
you gulf peoples are lucky that travel time is very very less when to managalore.even going to bangalore from mangalore takes more time than going to mangalore-kuwait or dubai.

    Mr. Kudlesh,

Agreed with the comment a bird in the hand is more worth than 2 in the bush.

Your Quote: What is the big deal travelling via Mumbai?

Mr. Kudlesh, if you ask this question to about 130000 KUWAIT-MANGALORE passengers, they will very well explain to you with several genuine concerns saying what or how big deal it is!

You travel from Kuwait to Mangalore or back via Mumbai airport along with family i.e. ladies, children, elderly sick people or God forbid along with dead bodies, you will experience the pain.

When you will send your wife, or old parents, elderly/sick relatives or minor children alone then surely you will understand the real difficulties.

Kudlesh, all passengers are not YOUNG STARS like you brother!

    Dear Mangaloreans,

It is fact that we all Mangaloreans were much disappointed when Mangalore – Kuwait flight was cancelled from 15th Feb and from then onwards we have undergone lot of difficulties while travelling to & from Mlore to Kuwait via Mumbai airport. Somehow UAKK (United Associations of Karnataka, Kuwait) an umbrella organization of 12 Karnataka State Associations in Kuwait & KEA has taken much initiative to follow up with the Aviation Ministry, AIE, our Coastal Ministers, Indian Embassy Kuwait,MLA & MLC and media and it is definitely a good news for us that with the help of all a/m authorities the restoration of AIE flight services is confirmed now. First of all let us be thankful to all of them who have helped us in this matter. Now, let us be patient and tactically ponder on the various our other NRI problems and issues facing in Bajpe/Mangalore airport and address the same wisely in appropriate time to appropriate authorities. First of all unity is very important, unitedly we have to demand our requirements through proper channels. It is not fair that one or two or three social workers follow up our demands, but almost all the Association Heads have to actively participate in the follow up of the NRI issues with Government and other concerned authorities and dignitaries when required. Following up with the Govt. authorities and peoples’ reps is not so easy, it requires willingness, dedication of our time, energy and spend money too. We will really feel the pain, but table to table follow up is very much necessary to remind our various issues and demands as usually the Ministers have hundreds of issues in their heads from other sectors. However, surely community service is a blessed deed. It is worth mentioning that recently MIAUF i.e. Mangalore Int’l Airport Users Forum, along with other 29 like minded organizations protested in front of DC office in Mangalore demanding various facilities specially for NRIs at Bajpe/Mangalore Airport and submitted memorandum to the concerned authorities.

Let us join hands in our efforts.

    Very well said Mr. Manohar,
When AIE discontinued its IXE – KWI – IXE route, their main reason was a shortage of passengers on this route. Now how can they expect more passengers with the odd timings? Early morning departures will not attract travelers from neighboring cities. Weekend travelers from Kuwait can not opt this service. Earlier timings were good, night departure from M’lore and late night departure from Kuwait. Same timing with this new sector of IXE – BAH – KWI – IXE will definitely make good money.

We appreciate your effort UAKK, Mr. Lobo, Mr. Ivan, Mr. Khadir, Mr. Nalin, Mrs. Shobha, Mr. Roshan Beig, Civil Aviation Ministry of India and AIE, but we want you to seriously think about this major issue.

A great effort by all the Associations, political parties, MLA’s, MP’s, Ministers and Ministries. Finally, AIE is back, but unfortunately with the bad timings.
    - Early morning departure from Mangalore and mid day departure from Kuwait are not at all convenient.
    - No departures from Kuwait on Thursdays, and no arrivals on Saturdays. So, not an interesting flight for short visitors
    - To take 7:30 flight from Mangalore, you need to reach the airport by 4:30 am. So no Keralites anymore.
    - To take 12:15 pm flight from Kuwait, you need to reach the airport by 9:15 am. You lose one full day of traveling. Even if you take 2 -3 transit flight in the night, you reach Mangalore at 10:30 am.

Is this to fool Mangaloreans? Or to favor other airlines?.....
Thanks for your effort Mr. Lobo, but this is like ootakkey baarada uppina kaai tharaha....
