Maharashtra governor K Sankaranarayanan transferred

New Delhi, Aug 24 (IANS): K Sankaranarayanan, the governor of Maharashtra, was Sunday transferred and appointed as the Mizoram governor for the remainder of his term, the Rashtrapati Bhavan said.

A press communique said Gujarat Governor Om Prakash Kohli "will discharge the functions of the governor of Maharashtra, in addition to his own duties, until regular arrangement for the office of the governor of Maharashtra are made".
