Kiku Sharda out of 'Jhalak...', says he's had enough

By Subhash K. Jha
Mumbai, Aug 18 (IANS): Actor-comedian Kiku Sharda, who has been eliminated from "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa", heaves a sight of relief and confess shooting for two daily soaps and two weekend reality shows had begun to take a toll on his health.

Kiku is relieved it's over.

"Dancing on 'Jhalak...' was fun and challenging while it lasted. But it was exhausting. It requires a lot of physical energy and emotional commitment, which I'd have happily given if I didn't have all the other serials to shoot for," said the actor

Apart from "Jhalak...” he's seen as Palak on "Comedy Nights With Kapil" and also features in "Akbar-Birbal" and "FIR".

"I really don't know if I'd have reached the finals if I tried harder. I am not sure I wanted to. 'Jhalak...' took too much of time energy and concentration. There were no half-measures," he said.

"While I danced, I danced with all my heart and soul. It was grueling because doing 'Jhalak...' was like a full-time activity on top of all my other commitments.

"I confess I felt trapped and exhausted. Shooting for two daily serials and two-weekend reality shows had begun to take its toll on my health and family life.

"I was constantly shooting. Sometimes I'd shoot through the night and go the next morning to my next shooting without any sleep," he said.
