Mumbai, Aug 18: Actor Darshan Kumar, who is all set to make his debut in 'Mary Kom' believes that his role will not be overshadowed by Priyanka's role.
He says, "I do not think I will be overshadowed by Priyanka Chopra. Whatever Mary Kom has achieved in her life, her husband has a huge contribution in that. Her husband's journey is equally important. I am more than happy to share the screen space with the National Award winning actress Priyanka Chopra."
Darshan will be playing the role of Mary Kom's husband. He is the one who inspires Mary to fight against all odds and emerge victorious.
Darshan has no filmy connections. He has done theatre and learned acting under Naseeruddin Shah.
'Mary Kom' is directed by Omung Kumar and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film is a biopic story of Indian boxer Mary Kom, who won the bronze medal in the Boxing category of Olympics. The film will hit screens on September 5.
