Chennai, Aug 14 (IANS): Everybody is not privileged to work with southern cinema's nightingale S. Janaki, who is known for thousands of her melodious chartbusters. So, when composer John Peter got the opportunity, he considered it an "honour".
Janaki, 76, has crooned over 20,000 songs in her more than 55-year-long career.
"It is indeed a great honour to compose a song with the nightingale of south India S. Janakiamma on the mike for the film 'Bhoom Bhoom', which has immense musical potential," Peter said in a statement.
Peter, who has also composed music for Tamil films such as "Madurai Sambavam" and "Kanniyum Kalayum", says he likes to be "challenged".
"My strength is versatility and I'm awaiting more opportunities to work with directors who impose challenging tasks. Every day is a new day for me in the recording studio. I dream, breathe and visualize music," he said.
With over 500 jingles to his credit, Peter is currently composing tunes for Tamil film "Jigina".
