Mumbai, Aug 29:  Senior journalist and sub-editor of Karnataka Malla, Shripati Champa’s book “Shripati Champa – 60”  was recently released by Dr Sunita Shetty, recipient of Attimabbe A ward, at the Samara Bhavana of Karnataka Sangha at Matunga here.

H B L Rao, president, Kannada Sahitya Parishat, Maharashtra, presided over the programme.

Present as guests were Chandrashekar Palethady, editor, Karnataka Malla, Shankar Shetty, president, Virar-Nalasopara Karnataka Sangha, Dr G N Upadhya, Kannada lecturer of Mumbai University, Santosh Putran, chief secretary, Maharashtra Manava Seva Sangha Association, Eshwar Alevooru, sub-editor of Akshaya, poet Vishwanath Shetty and Sadashiva Pille.

Mohan Marnad, director of Tulu film ‘Sudda’ and writer Narayana Shetty were honoured on the occasion. Tribute was paid to the late Dr Manimalini V K, who passed away recently in Mangalore.
