Mumbai, Aug 29: The Shree Guru Narayana yakshagana troupe performed the ‘Babhruvahana Kalaga’, at Billawa Bhavana at Santacruz east here on Sunday August 27.  This was their first performance of the 2006-07 tour.

The yakshagana was presented in memory of the late Eshwara  K Hejmadi. A large number of art lovers witnessed the performance.

While Jayaprakash Bhat, Mohana Baipadithaya, Sadanand Paniyooru, Muddu Anchan, Gangadhara Suvarna were the narrators, Narayana Bangera, Sandeep Suvarna played the drums and Shekar Sasihitlu, Madhusudan Palan and Roshan Kotian played the mridanga.

Raghunath Alva and Narayana Shetty Kumble acted as comedians. Prakash Paniyooru, T R Shetty, Appayya Maniyani, Ganesh Chandramandala, Rajesh Dharmastala, Vasudeva Shetty Marnad, Praveen Shetty, Nagesh Kumar, Ramesh Devadiga, Kumar Shetty and Dhananjaya Amin too acted in the yakshagana.

Nithyananda Kotian, honorary chief secretary of the association, L V Amin, Gopal Jathanna, C T Salian, honorary secretary, members Devendra Bangera, Dharmapal Anchan, Devraj Poojary, Gopal Palan were present.
