WhatsApp addiction: Husband drags wife to police station

Indore, Aug 8 (Agencies) : At a time when instant messaging services like WhatsApp and others contribute in rapid change in the level of communication, sometime they also become reasons for spoiling relationships.

The craze of WhatsApp was so high in Indore that a husband decided to take his wife to a police station, just because for not heeding him. The man, in a written complaint, alleged that his wife is having bad addiction to the WhatsApp instant messaging application.

According to a female constable, Vijay Nagar resident Mayor Sahu, a software engineer by profession, said that his wife, Payal, has no time for him as her world is limited to WhatsApp messaging service.

“When I return from office, she even doesn’t bother to give me a glass of water. She remains busy with her phone,” Mayur said in his written complaint.

He also said that Payal don’t come out of her room and engage herself with household works.

“Whenever I talk to her, she is busy with her mobile phone and WhatsApp. She is not concerned about the breakfast, lunch or dinner,” he alleged. Mayur and Payal got married last year.

Police said that when Payal was called for interrogation, she accused Mayur of harassing her mentally and also filed a written complaint against her husband.

Mayur’s monthly salary is around Rs 60,000, police said.

Meanwhile, the counselor, after listening their concerns, suggested Mauyur and Payal to end their tussle and live together happily.

Now a days most of the families are facing the same problem. Last week there was quarrel in my neighbour's house for the same reason. Wife is always busy with mobile. Mother-in-law is doing all the house work. Wife is not bothered to give dinner to her husband. For the same reason there were fight between husband and wife. Then we all went and stopped the quarrel and wife was saying she is addicted with mobile. She is not taking care of her children too. Everything is done by her mother-in-law. Where the generation is heading towards???

Wife is sick ,addict with this electronic mobile like any other sickness like Alcohol, cigarettes.she should be treated .go to a psychology doctor than Police.we have seen Police ask first salary and then rest. For a Change husband also can turn the matter and take his wife away from mobile ,bring her some interesting Thing sometime ,take her to a Cinema take her out for a walk ,to Hotel for a tea instead of waiting from her always,to serve him.I dont say she should not give her husband tea or water. She must be boring at home being alone. He should take the initiative and make her to Show interest on him.

Smart phones literally made people electronic slaves. For some, virtual relationships are so addictive & compulsive that they risk their life/career/relationship by replying (texting) immediately while driving, while making love, while in office meeting, while in college...etc

This man should tell his so called (Modern Wife), what is his feeling for her, let her know. It doesn’t matter if she can be in his life or not. May be both of you to release the truth, so healing can occur, Set the record straight, so that person can move on with their life...
