Mumbai, Aug 7: The 'Brihan Mumbai Nagari Sahakari Banks' Association conferred the Top Bank Award to Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Limited, during a function held at Hotel Kohinoor Banquet hall, Prabhadevi, Dadar (West), here on Wednesday August 6.
The award was recieved by working president of Bharat Bank Jaya C Suvarna, vice-president advocate Rohini J Salian, director K N Suvarna and managing director, chief executive officer C R Mulky, chief general manager Anil Kumar R Amin and general manager Nithyananda D Kotyan.
In the annual search for Top Bank by 'Brihan Mumbai Nagari Sahakari Banks' Association, Bharat co-operative bank achieved a deposit of over Rs 1,500 crore and remained top during 2013-14 financial year.
Addressing the gathering, president of Bharat Bank Jaya C Suvarna said, "By using modern technology and consistency in meeting the expectations of customers, we are able to grow so high. Presently a total of 55 branches has achieved a turnover of approximately Rs 6,483.68 crore. In the coming days we have plans to open branches in Maharastra, Karnatka and Gujrath and serve for the welfare of our valuable customers who have supported our immensely growth so far."
Bharat Bank has bagged this award for its consistency in achieving the set objectives, customer satisfaction and clientele base.
Bank's association vice-president Gulab Rao Jagtap, administrative officer S B Aadsul were present during the occasion.
