Krishna Hegde distributes umbrellas to postmen

Mumbai, Aug 6: MLA Krishna Hegde distributed 400 umbrellas to postmen to shield them from the rains.
 
The umbrellas carry the message ‘Save the Girl Child’ to spread the awareness and were distributed to all postmen working in the Vile Parle constituency.
 
The postmen who deliver 500 mails a day to houses have not received bags, uniforms, sandals and umbrellas for over four years.
