Mangalore, Aug 1: Shortly after an elderly lady was found murdered at her house in Alake here on Friday August 1, the car that was stolen from the premises was found near Bejai.
The police who took up the investigation found the Zen car parked outside an automobile showroom near KSRTC bus stand.
No one was found in the car. It is suspected that the culprits may have used the car as a getaway and escaped after abandoning it near the bus stand.
The police have seized the car for further investigation.

An elderly lady was found murdered at her residence in Alake here on Friday August 1.
The deceased has been identified as Sushila (75).
It is suspected that the murderers gained entry into her house during the intervening night between Thursday July 31 and Friday August 1.
Sushila seemed to have been murdered with a sharp weapon, as severe injuries were found on her neck.
The murderers also took away the gold she was wearing and a car that was parked in the premises.
Sushila's son Sandeep Shah stays with his wife on the first floor of the same house. In his statement to the police, he said he did not hear anything and was unaware of the crime until morning.
The body was shifted to Wenlock for post-mortem.
Kadri police arrived at the spot and investigations are on.
