Udupi, Jul 23: A car fell off a bridge at Pangala here on Wednesday July 23 after its driver lost control. The couple in the car narrowly escaped with with minor injuries.
The person who was driving reportedly lost control of the car as it entered Pangala bridge. The car veered to the side and plunged straight into the water below.
Local diving experts rushed to the spot but the occupants of the car had come out on their own by then. They were taken to the hospital for examination.
The traffic on the bridge was affected as curious commuter stopped to watch.
Kaup police who rushed to the scene cleared the traffic.
