Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore

Mangalore, Jul 19: The Kadri police have arrested four persons for kidnapping a building contractor and demanding money from him.

The abductors allegedly forced contractor Dhananjay Mijar into a car at Navabharat circle, Kodialbail on July 14. He was then taken to a hotel in Kadri, where the abductors demanded money and threatened him by brandishing swords. Thereafter, they fled the spot in a Pajero car.

Dhananjay filed a complaint with Kadri police. A team led by inspector T D Nagaraj began investigations, and on Thursday July 17, it was learnt that the accused were planning to escape to Bangalore. The police team swung into action and intercepted them at Bantwal.

The arrested are Harish Tolar (37) of Kundapur, Nagesh (27) of Manila near Vittal, Roshan (28) and John Fernandes (26) from Udupi.

Among them, Harish is said to be a notorious criminal who was formerly an associate of underworld don Bannanje Raja, and is an accused in the murder case of builder Subbarao. He also faces five cases in Bangalore. He had earlier been arrested by the Bangalore CCB in connection to a shootout case.

Police sources said that Harish and Nagesh are the main accused in the kidnapping of Dhananjay Mijar, and that John Roshan had assisted them. Police booked Nagesh and Harish on charges of kidnapping, threatening, attempting to loot, assaulting and possessing weapons illegally. Roshan and John were booked under the Arms Act.

Source said that during interrogation, Harish admitted to the crime. Further investigations are on.

Please encounter them. They has habituated to crime. So they wont get scared to do more crime. As they know the Law in India is weak and know it properly how to play with it, they might be thinking till today nothing has happened, in future nothing will happen. Please clear their misunderstanding and encounter them to set an example.

Protest, candle lighting etc will not bring the required responsibility on the law makers in the state who are under deep sleep.Let the govt get Sri Daya Nayak on deputation for one or two months to curb the menace from the grass roots. He should be given a free hand is the one and only solution to save our girls/girl children in schools and society at large.
