The deceased, Suresh Moolya (34), was a resident of Nelliguri.
It is said that on Thursday night, Suresh's younger sister heard screams in a nearby street and rushed out of the house to check. She saw Suresh fallen in a pool of blood, with injuries on his chest, head and stomach.
Even as he was battling for life, he reportedly told his sister that a person by name Ashok alias Pollu Ashok had attacked him before escaping from the spot.
