Kasargod, Jul 7:  A racket involved with the theft of cattle has been busted by Kumble police. A team of policemen from the station, led by police sub-inspector, Jacob, arrested two alleged cattle thieves in an operation conducted on Sunday July 6.

The police also confiscated a car and an auto rickshaw from the possession of arrested persons. The arrested men have been identified as Nassar (32) from Kumble Arikkad, and Ismail (40), a native of Mangalore.

The police recovered two goats, which were allegedly stolen by them, from their possession. The police said that these two were involved with several cases of cattle thefts earlier.

A night patrol party of police stopped an auto rickshaw near Peruvadu petrol bunk near Kumble, and inspected the vehicle. They found that the said goats were being transported in the three-wheeler. Reportedly, the two men confessed to having stolen these goats, during questioning. The police then impounded a car that was following the auto rickshaw as escort vehicle.

During further questioning, the accused are said to have confessed to the police that they were involved with several cases of cattle theft in the past. On being produced in the court, both of them were remanded to judicial custody. The police said they intend to seek police custody of the accused, as they want to interrogate them further and get details of other thefts involving them.

Good!! at least now we are hearing the news of Police nabbing Cattle Thieves. If the authorities can retrieve and publish the names of Meat Vendors who are hand in glove with these thieves, then we can see the change.

and many more according to the imagination of our readers

    Paramatma Swamy Deva....
    Cattle Kallara Kaata...
    Tadeyalaareya ??? Harane ?

I could not understand your views....
My opinion is about only the incidents are being highlighted, but what happens aftermath... who knows.... People don't have the right to know what happened to them (Criminals) ? Of course lawyers are there to make the criminals life easy....

In fact my response was not actually a reply to your question.

tone of my comment is sarcastic if you have noted. In short what i meant to say was these cattle thieves will be rewarded one way or the other

by the way you inhibit good 'shayari' style of writing. keep it up.

my name is Shivappa (short form of Shivashankrappa) only the name has power. I am only human. No divine power as you described.

STOP reporting the same crime again and again..... That will not end. Give the picture of what happened to earlier criminals... At least publish the status and list of such crimes District-wise and gather them in a single place for a group photo...

Also publish the views/interviews of their relatives. Also publish the list of people who resumed the same business after came out of jail.

Ask their relatives about educating those criminals kith and kin about better alternative jobs.. Instead of encouraging the kith and kin telling heroic deeds of criminals they could tell them better ways of life...

Other approaches needed from political side should be compulsory removal of Ration Cards/Gas Cards/Electricity and Mobile connections to whole family members if anybody indulge in such activity. This will definitely ensure changes...
