Udupi: Agricultural training prog organized at Kaup

Udupi, Jul 6: Arun Shetty Padooru, the president of Udupi ZP agriculture and industries standing committee, inaugurated the 2014-15 Bhu Chethana hobli level training programme, organized by the Udupi ZP, agriculture department and JCI Kaup at Kaup JC Bhavan on Saturday July 5.

"Farmers are hesitating to utilize the facilities provided by the government. It is the responsibility of the representatives to facilitate them directly to the farmers," he said.

 
ZP member Katpady Shankar Shetty appreciated the proactive measures planned by the government along with the agriculture department and the horticulture department to support the farmers.

Grama panchayath president Usha Shenoy presided over the programme. ZP member Ida Gibba D'Souza, Kaup JCI president Anil Kumar were present.

On this occasion four power tillers were distributed to the beneficiaries.

Deputy director of Kaup animal husbandry Dr Shrikanth Padke, Bhramavar KVK Dr Ganesh Prasad, assistant horticulture officer Dinesh, Raghavendra were also present.

Udupi district deputy agriculture director Krishna Swamy welcomed. Stephan Fernandes compered.
