Mangalore: Journalist Ashok Bagambila (50) passes away

Mangalore, Jul 5: Journalist Ashok Bagambila (50) passed away in a hospital at Deralakatte here on Saturday July 5, due to illness.

Over the past 20 years, Bagambila, a specialist in covering crime news, had reported a number of stories for various media, including TV channels.

He also ran his own weekly paper called 'Crime News', and had also written stories for Kannada movies.

He was also in the process of shooting a programme on crime for newly-launched Daijiworld 24x7 TV channel.

Bagambila was suffering from acute diabetes and had got admitted to a private hospital in Deralakatte. He failed to respond to treatment and breathed his last on July 5.

He leaves behind his wife and a child.
