Kasargod, July 5: Among the nurses who were held captive and are not set free by Sunni militants in Iraq, is Seeliya (24) daughter of George, a resident of Rajapura Kallar, Peruballa, Kasargod.

Forty six nurses of Kerala origin were facing an uncertain future while under captivity of the militants. A special aircraft carrying the nurses landed at the Kochi airport at 12 this afternoon.

Seeliya, who was working in Delhi, joined Taching hospital in Thikrith, Iraq a year ago. She had to return end of June, but got stuck in between the internal conflict in Iraq and had to remain there against her wish.

She telephoned home once after being held captive in Iraq. The call increased anxiety in the family. However, when she called them again on Friday July 4 evening, they were relieved.

The family reached Kochi airport this morning. As the aircraft carrying Seeliya landed in the afternoon, they welcomed her and now are on their way to Kasargod. They are expected to reach Kasargod at night.

The safe arrival of Seeliya has created an atmosphere of celebration in the family.

Some people are still criticizing childishly even in a very crucial situation. The real problems should come to their life also, then they realize the reality of such problems .
