Nicole Kidman likely to return to London stage

Los Angeles, July 4 (IANS): Actress Nicole Kidman, who featured in "Grace Of Monaco", is reportedly in talks to make a comeback to the London stage with a classic play about an unhappily married woman in love with a younger man.

The Oscar-winner said she is in "complex negotiations" to appear in two plays "one after the other", reports dailymail.co.uk.

"I don’t know how it’s going to work yet, but yes, that’s the idea. Two in a row," said Kidman.

Of the two, the production that's likely to hit the stage sooner is "A Month In The Country", being adapted by Patrick Marber. Ian Rickson, former artistic chief of the Royal Court, is likely to direct the play in 2015.

While Kidman didn't give out much details about her two new dramas, she said she is serious about doing theatre again 16 years after she wowed London when she was directed by Sam Mendes at the Donmar Warehouse in David Hare’s "The Blue Room".

A few years back, there were rumours that Kidman would feature on the New York stage with Terence Rattigan’s "After The Dance", but that didn't happen.
