Mangalore: Book on Dentistry in Kannada to be released on July 6

Mangalore, Jul 4: "The first Kannada book on dentistry 'Suraksha Dantha Aarogya Maargadarshi' will be released on Sunday July 6 at Bharathi College, Nanthoor," said Dr Murali Mohan Choontaru, author of the book.

Addressing a press meet held at the press club he said, "The book is mainly written for the purpose of creating awareness about the health of the teeth and related aspects. Other authors have published their writings related to medicine and health, but no one has published a book on dentistry. This would be the first book in Kannada and the sole purpose of publishing it is to create awareness among people."


"The book will be released by Dr Ramananda Banari, a doctor and Kannada litterateur. The event will have the presence of the state forest and ecology minister Ramanatha Rai, along with health minister U T Khader. The programme will be presided over by the president of Dakshina Kannada, Kannada Sahitya Parishat Pradeep Kumar Kalkura," he concluded.

Dr Rajashree Mohan, Geetha Ganesh and Krishna Neeramoole were among the present at the occasion.
