Mangalore, Jul 4: A tractor and an ambulance collided head-on at Thokkottu here late night on Thursday July 3, causing injuries to four persons.
The ambulance was bringing a patient from Kanhangad, Kerala to a hospital in Deralakatte here. The tractor was moving in the opposite direction.
It is said that the tractor did not have any headlight on, and the ambulance driver, who failed to notice it in the dark, collided head-on into it.
As a result of the accident, Abubakker, the patient who was being brought from Kanhangad, was seriously injured. His two relatives, both women, were also injured, along with the ambulance driver.
They were admitted to a private hospital.
The tractor too carried Kerala registration, although it is not known who it belonged to.
Ullal police arrived at the spot and registered a case.
