Mangalore, Jul 2: Fr Muller Medical College celebrated ‘Doctors’ Day’ on Tuesday July 1 at Decennial Memorial Hall, FMCI, Mangalore.
On this occasion, Dr Nanda Kishore B, leprologist and dermatologist of FMCI, was felicitated.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Nanda Kishore said, “The 30 years of my service were wonderful and I am still working. Being felicitated on Doctors’ Day is something to remember. There are many things to keep in mind, so it is not easy to store old memories. Many years ago, doctors used their stethoscope to examine a patient. But now the generation has changed. By looking at the patient itself, doctors can find out what the problem is. Day by day doctors must update their knowledge. They have to read more books.”
Dr Padmaja Udaykumar welcomed the guests. Fr Patrick inaugurated the ceremony.
Administrator Fr Rudolph Ravi D’Sa, director Fr Patrick, hospital administrator Fr Richard Coelho, and FMCI dean Dr J P Alva were also present during the ceremony.
