Four big stars come together for 'Valeba Raja' song

Chennai, June 30 (IANS): Four popular Tamil actors - Sethu, Santhanam, Powerstar Srinivasan and 'Naan Kadavul' Rajendran - have teamed up for a song in upcoming Tamil romantic-comedy "Valeba Raja". Director Sai Gokul Ramnath is confident that the song, whose lyrics are inspired by 25 Tamil hit numbers, will be a crowd-puller.

Titled "Nadu Kadalula", the song has been crooned by Gaana Bala and has music by Radhan.

While Sethu and Santhanam are part of the film, Sai roped in Srinivasan and Rajendran especially for the song.

"Powerstar was supposed to be part of the film initially, but my story didn't have substantial role for him. So, I went ahead and shot the film with Sethu and Santhanam, but my producer requested me to cast Srinivasan in a song. That's how the trio came together," Sai Gokul told IANS.

Sethu, Santhanam and Srinivasan earlier featured in Tamil sleeper hit "Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasiyaa".

"It's a dream song sequence shot in a surreal world. Rajendran plays a surreal character, of the kind you usually find in Woody Allen films. It's an out-and-out commercial song and would surely bring audiences to cinema halls," he added.

What's more interesting about the song is that its lyrics are inspired by Tamil chartbusters.

"In the song, we have included lines from 25 popular Tamil hit numbers. The intention was to let audiences guess from where we have picked up the lines while also letting them enjoy the visuals," he said.
