Kasargod: 11 children of special school injured as bus falls off bridge

Kasargod, Jun 24: Eleven children of a special school at Alampady were injured when their school bus fell off a bridge near Nellikunje here on Monday June 23.

The driver of the school bus was also injured in the accident that occured in the evening.

An eyewitness told daijiworld correspondent in Kasargod that the bus driver lost control while moving over the bridge and the vehicle fell into the water below.

Nine of the 12 injured have been identified as Savad, Hasainar, Aslam, Hameed, Ramseena, Abdul, Fahad, Mohammad Sharif, Razak, and driver Mohammed. All the injured have been admitted to Kasargod general hospital.

The firemen and the locals helped in shifting the injured to hospital and also in moving the bus out of the water.
