World Music Day a big hit with Delhiites

New Delhi, Jun 22 (IANS): A flash mob, band performances and Bollywood songs -- this is how the national capital grooved to the tunes of global music on World Music Day.

Even though the flash mob at a plush mall in south Delhi lasted only for 5-7 minutes, the young and the old, men and women, children and families Saturday kept their inhibitions aside and danced to the rhythm of catchy Bollywood numbers and South Korean singing sensation Psy's chartbuster "Gangnam Style" to celebrate the day.

Turkush, a multi-genre Hindi band, fusion band Spice Route and rock band Zephyr enthralled the audience with their compositions.

A drum jam session and dance performances were also part of the day-long event organised by youth group Education Tree.
