Mangalore, Jun 22: Mangalore City Corporation corporator Azeez Kudroli representing Kudroli ward was arrested by Mangalore South police on Saturday for threatening MCC officials.
City corporation comissioner Ajith Kumar Hegde had filed a case in Barke police station against Azeez for threatening and abusing city planning officials Shivaraj and Balaraj with foul language, and interfering in their official work.
The complaint aslo mentioned that Kudroli had issued a life threat to these officials.
The incident occured when officials visited Kandak area to inspect the spot for the proposed ice plant project on June 10. The locals had risen in protest against the officials and later barged into MCC building too. The MCC officials had alleged that Azeez had instigated them.
