Chennai, June 20: Actor Vijay has written a letter to Prime Minister Narandra Modi asking his government to abolish service tax on films.
The actor stated in his letter that cinema is a medium that entertains audiences and generates huge revenues for the government. He also stated that the service tax imposed is causing a great loss to the producers. Due to this, many producers have stopped making films and are concentrating on other business.
Vijay is presently shooting for 'Kaththi.' He will be soon seen in a fantasy film which will have Kiccha Sudeep and Sridevi in lead roles.
