Mangalore: DC issues order on no-parking zones in city

Mangalore, Jun 19: Dakshina Kannada DC A K Ibrahim has planned special projects for creating no parking zones in the city. Some selected regions in the ward no 38 have been announced as no parking zones by the police commissioner.

In the ward no 38, the stretch between Karavali circle to Vas lane in the Kalpana road, Vas lane first cross to Unity hospital, Karavali circle to A R D’Souza lane and 100 meters stretch along the Dominos Pizza have been announced as no-parking zones by police commissioner R Hithendra.

The necessary markings and sign boards are to be implemented on the spot along with the help of MCC. The assistant commissioner of police for traffic has been directed to ensure the proper utilization and follow up of the orders.

    thank god and DC!atlast some positive steps being taken to ease the traffic congestion near karavali circle.but , keeping my fingers crossed to see when it will be implemented.request the DC to take note of the absence of pedestrian crossing all the way from LHHill to clock tower!no concern for the common man in "namma kudla"

    The road adjacent to mescom shivbag, opposite hotel Shivbagh has been designated a no parking zone and has been duly marked. This was done after a nurse lost her life there after she hit a parked vehicle. Vehicles continue to park there. Would like to ask our respected DC, what action has been taken?
