Sharjah, Jun 16: Well-known Kannadiga in UAE, Herman Lewis of Radio Spice has been chosen for Karnataka Sangha Sharjah's prestigious 'Mayura' annual award for the year 2013-14.
Herman Lewis has been running Radio Spice 105.4 FM Hindi radio station for a decade in the UAE. He also took the initiative to bring Kannada, Konkani and Tulu programmes to radio. Apart from his service in media, he is also involved in guiding several Karnataka-based organisations in the UAE.
The award will be confered during the 12th Annual Day of KSS on June 20, at Indian Association, Sharjah. Noted cine star Vijay Raghavendra, Harini Madan, noted dance choreographer and Balakrishnan, president, Indian Association Sharjah have consented to be the guests for the evening.
The highlight of the celebration will be the Chilly Willy Couple Dance competition. The evening will showcase a variety of programmes which include dance, skits, music etc.
The organizers have requested people to come in large numbers and be a part of this variety entertainment programme. The programme commences at 3 pm and will go on till 8.30 pm.
