Mumbai, June 10: The Konkani Catholic Association (KCA) and Nallasopara (R) distributed free notebooks to the economically backward poor school children at St Francis De Sales School Auditorium, Nallasopara (East), recently.
KCA president B Harry Cutinha presided. KCA founder advisor priest Jo Rebello, St Francis De Sales Church assistant priest Kenalia Lopez and St Francis De Sales educational institution Johnson Saldana were present.
"For a universal success, education is the right equipment. Education is important and is part of humanity; it helps to build the personality, hence education should treated as sacred," said Jo Rebello.
Johnson Saldana said, "Education is the way to reach towards success. Success can be achieved through moral education. Children along with education also should cultivate love towards nature and have a good culture."
From the past 17 years this organization has involved itself in providing educational equipments to the economically poor students.
Lilly Quadros, Levin D'Souza, Hilda D'Souza, Romeo Castellino and Irin D'Souza were present on the occasion.
Alwyn F D'Souza welcomed, Clad D' Silva introduced the guests, Richard Pinto and Ronald D'Pais read the names of beneficiaries. Gracy Pinto rendered the vote of thanks.
