Dubai: Naveen D'Souza elected president of Karaval Milan

Dubai, Jun 9: Naveen D’Souza, the soft spoken community leader from Kolalgiri has been unanimously elected the new president of Karaval Milan for the year 2014-2016.

He succeeds the outgoing president Naveen Sequeira from Brahmavar.

Karaval Milan is an association of various parishioners of Udupi diocese residing in UAE, which is well-known for its cultural, sports and charity activities. The association is celebrating 14 years of successful existence.

An induction programmeme was held at the India Club on Friday June 6.

Glan Mendonca of Tallur was appointed the vice-president and Eric D’Souza of Perampalli the cultural secretary.

Prakash Baretto of Kundapur and Rajan Lewis of Brahmavar were retained as secretary and sports secretary, respectively.

The induction programme was attended by the office-bearers and new members. Rony Byndoor compered the programme with his usual enthusiasm and calm demeanour.

The programme was celebrated with lunch for the families and a game of Bowling.
