Kasargod, Jun 7: A notorious inter-state thief who kept a diary of the items he stole was arrested by the Kasargod police here on Friday June 6. He is reported to have been involved in cases of theft in various places from Kasargod to Mumbai.
The arrested is identified as Badiadka Nadubail resident Abdul Azeez (31). The police team led by Dy SP Ranjith arrested him.
The police said that he stole 21 computers, 11 cameras and several electronic gadgets from Mumbai, Goa, Mangalore etc. Interestingly, he kept a record of all the stolen items in a diary.
He is accused of stealing two cameras from a studio near Roopa hotel in Mangalore, two lenses, two laptops from Balmatta Travel Agency, two laptops from Lalbagh's Computer Service Center, one desktop computer, three laptops from Edaneeru government high school, two desktop
computers, three hard disks, two RAMs, one desktop computer from the office of an engineer near City Gold Jewellers, three monitors and five desktops from Goa's Peruvayi Graphics Coaching Center, one computer from an office near Goa Panjim's Sinex Theater, one photo printer, one Nikon camera, one tripod, eight cameras, a magnifier from Camera Service Center of Panjim, one DVD player from the office of Panjim school, five hard disks, four processors, six RAMs, seven card readers, two blue tooth devices, twenty eight pen drives, two inverter batteries from Maposa Travel Agency, one computer from Panjim Travel Agency and Rs 2.4 lac in cash, one laptop and cash from an advocate's office at Mapusa, two desktops, one projector from Panjim Insurance Company and beauty treatment products from Kallangodu Beauty Parlour.
Besides DySP, policemen Pradeep Chavara, Saju Manjeshwara, Sanish Siriak, Sunil Abraham, Laxmanan, Unnikrishnan and Venu participated in the operation.
