Los Angeles, June 5 (IANS): Singer Ricky Martin believes that taking along his two sons on tour is benefitial to them.
The "Livin' La Vida Loca" hitmaker says his five-year-old twin sons Matteo and Valentino, whom he welcomed via surrogate in 2008, join him on the road because it encourages their personal development, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
In an interview with "Entertainment Tonight Canada" show, he said: "A lot of people say, 'But Rick, kids, they need stability.' I'm their stability... They were born on the road, so they come with me everywhere and they like it."
"If they spend too much time in the same place, they go, 'Dad, what's next?' They've been to every museum in the world, they've been to every zoo in the world, so they're having a good time," he said.
The 42-year-old got famous at the age of 12 when he became a member of the band Menudo and he hopes at least one of his sons will follow in his footsteps and become a musician.
He said: "They have something. They have something going on. It's very beautiful to see my kids playing drums, with a beat. At least one of them."
"The other is a little bit more hippy-ish. He's more into nature and water and swimming and flowers. But there is one that is very musical, let's see how it goes," he added.
