Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore

Bangalore, Jun 3: In a bizarre incident, a woman who had just undergone a successful surgery died in the post-operative care unit of a hospital after her bed broke!

Noorjahan (60) was admitted to Ambedkar Medical College Hospital, KG Halli here for hernia treatment four days ago.

After undergoing a successful surgery on Sunday June 1 night, she was shifted to the post-operative care unit of the hospital. Her doctor had declared that the sugery went well and she would recuperate.

However, at around 3:30 am, the bed Noorjahan was sleeping on suddenly crashed. Her family members who were with her watched in shock as Noorjahan died on the spot.

It is said that prior to the incident, her family members had expressed concerns over the condition of the bed and informed the hospital staff about it. The hospital however did not take it seriously, sources said.

Rita-sis, health minister can impose protocols and ensure it is followed up during day time having staff and departments to verify conditions, health and safety concerns of all licensed hospitals. also a mode code can be implemented on type of beds, the weight it can take, years of use permitted etc to be used in hospital. Ethan's comments were related to lack of such measures. A midnight raid may not yield such benefits than having a fool proof system. The people manning the system should have integrity and accountability.

Normally when you visit a Nursing Home or a Hospital, one will find at least 15 to 20 people from the relatives and neighbours gathered around the patient sitting all over the bed which is actually meant for single person! only when an accident takes place everybody starts blaming the Hospital!

Hospital Management, be prepared for your life time penalty. I am telling you, how stupid the case is. No escape for you and I am telling the family, please file a case against the hospital. This will be lesson for the hospital for ignoring your alert as well as a lesson for them to take care of the basic amenities of the hospital. Pity the family who lost a innocent life due to the negligence of the hospital.

    Hi jeevan, mangalore

This government can give only BEGBUG bhagya...

By seeing the LS result, it is clear that most Kannadiga's felt "MODI bhagya" is better than "SHADI bhagya".

In Bangalore the Patient is Dead due to breaking of Bed.
In Delhi a Central Minister is dead due to heart attack only by seeing another car brushing his car lightly.
Both are very weird but fatal incidents.
