BSY's son to contest from Shikaripura for assembly by-election

New Delhi, Jun 1 (DHNS) : The BJP top brass has given the green signal to field B Y Raghavendra from Shikaripura Assembly seat, which was vacated by former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa after getting elected to the Lok Sabha from Shimoga.

During Yeddyurappa’s recent meeting with party national president Rajnath Singh, the latter agreed to field Raghavendra as the BJP candidate.

Though the bypoll for the Shikaripura Assembly segment is yet to be announced, the party leaders are learnt to have informed Yeddyurappa to prepare his son to contest the poll.

The BJP, in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, fielded Yeddyurappa from Shimoga parliamentary seat by replacing his son B Y Raghavendra.

The Lingayat leader, who won the seat, recently submitted his resignation as an MLA.

Yeddyurappa had won the Shikaripura seat in 2013 Assembly elections as the Karnataka Janata Paksha candidate, the party he had floated after breaking away from the BJP.

Later, he merged the KJP with the BJP.

You are right based on the number of who criminals who made to parliament on BJP tickets and people who voted blindly, I guarantee junior yeddy will win.

    Honourable PM of india Modiji,
everything is moving against your speech and assurance.
Please control thugs in and around you as they are hurdles for your move.
This time if you loss this chance, then next time overcoming Congress is impossible and one need to raise many mandir issues, many riots, blood sheds and more money, rallys, rath yatra and hardwork to get power.
Although all of Indian citizens not voted you but each and every citizen of this great country is expecting something from you.
    All the best Sir.

Do not jump so much. Before comparing please use your if you have one. BSY or BSR are just a candidates of a party in a constituency. Not like your heridetry Party presedent post, where Mother gives resignation to son & son gives it to mother post election drub. At the end of the day both reject each others resgnation to be called by Joker and circus company by their own people. BSR is put forward democratically as a candidate by BJP and if people accept him or not will be decided by votes, not BSY's decision. Ther is a difference in Mother naming her son and people electing a son.

Sorry friends, the contest has nothing to with family. BSY nor BJP are supporting dynasty here. BSR is contesting in his personal capacity and as grassroots level RSS and BJP worker, it just happened to be BSY is father. And I assure you he will win with tumbing majority. dont compare BSY family and Gandhi Family.....BJP never ever support family politics rather supports individual capacity and simple background.

I do not agree for Yeddy's son for the MLA position. This is WRONG.

Similarly (but much more strongly), it is not accetable the chain Javaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Sanjay Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi,....... and all are eligible for PM's post is more strongly to be condemned.

If anyone wants to condemn, then for both (and more strongly congress)

    Hi James, mangalore

Maneka Gandhi can not be connected because they are not continuing in the same party. If Yeddy's son is contesting from Congress, I have no objection.

Try to understand than arguing blindly. Of course, you may try to defeat me in argument, but do not defeat your inner mind.

Both Maneka Gandhi and Varun Gandhi is same like Yeddy & his son. I have already mentioned it is wrong. Pease read my comment before you jump. Meantime, Maneka won as independent in her first few election before joining BJP, for your kind info.

Why can not you concentrate on the long chain from JN, IG, RG, SG, RG, PG... to god knows where we end..
