Chennai, May 31 (IANS): Tamil actor Silambarasan aka Simbu has clarified that his upcoming Tamil romantic drama "Sattendru Maraathu Vaanilai" with Gautham Vasudev Menon has not been shelved. He says the project has been put on hold as the filmmaker first needs to complete his project with Ajith Kumar.
Simbu and Gautham shot "Sattendru Maraathu Vaanilai" for few days and subsequently stopped shooting for reasons unknown.
Clarifying the status of the project, Simbu told IANS: "My project with Gautham is very much on. We started shooting and had to stop because Gautham had a commitment with Ajith that came and he had to complete it. Therefore, we've put on shooting on hold and as soon as we are good to go, we'll start filming again."
This is the second time Simbu has collaborated with Gautham after the highly successful Tamil romantic-drama "Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya".
Simbu is currently busy wrapping up Tamil romantic-comedy "Idhu Namma Aalu" with ex lover Nayantara.
