Mangalore, May 27: A young engineer lost his life in a bike-lorry accident that took place late night on Monday May 26 at Mulky.
The deceased has been identified as Roshan (25), son of Harishchandra Hejamady, DySP of Mangalore fingerprint bureau (FPB).
The accident took place near Bappanadu entrance when a lorry transporting lemons from Bijapur to Mangalore rammed into Roshan's Bullet bike. Due to the impact of the collision, Roshan got thrown on to the road and died of injuries.
Roshan was the elder among the two sons of Harishchandra Hejamady, who resides near Kanchan Ice Plant. Roshan studied at Mulky's Narayana Guru English Medium School and then at Vijaya College. He then completed his engineering from Nitte and till last year worked at Akamai Technologies in Bangalore. Since last August, he was working as a senior engineer with another company in Bangalore.
Roshan had come home on leave. It is learnt that late on Monday night, he was riding with his friend Shravan Kumar from Mangalore to his residence in Hejamady when the accident took place.
Harishchandra's younger son Bhushan is pursuing engineering studies at Nitte.
Mulky police have registered a case.
